In line with this purpose, applications in the STAR program are completed in three stages. In the first stage, demand applications are received from project owners for bursary students who can take part in their projects, and in the second stage, applications from undergraduate students with the requested qualifications for the projects received in the first stage are collected. The last stage is the evaluation stage, where project managers evaluate the applications received for their projects and determine the bursary candidate who will take part in their project. In the STAR program, the first stage of the 2023 call was completed as of October 27, 2023, and bursary requests were received from project owners for a total of 1410 projects. Of the 1410 projects, 1161 are projects supported by TÜBİTAK, 143 are YÖK ADEP projects, and 106 are projects carried out in TÜBİTAK Institutes.
In the second stage of the program, undergraduate students will be able to apply to take part in these research projects through the BİDEB Application Monitoring System (https://ebideb.tubitak.gov.tr/giris.htm) between November 13, 2023 (Time: 20.00) and December 11, 2023 (Time: 17.30).
